The PZI Jeans - DISAPPOINTED!!
Thursday, May 14, 2009 by Angie.
OK, I am really disappointed in these.
First, their sizing is off. Sure, I can squeeze into these but they are snug! Geez. And yes, I verified my measurements after disbelief took over, and no, I don’t squeeze the tape too tight. I’m a carbon copy of their size 4 measurements. Then again, those pants on the models aren’t the loosest fit, so maybe they’re supposed to fit this way. Maybe they loosen up after a few hours. Yet, even though they’re snug and curve-hugging, they don’t cut into me or anything when I sit down. It’s actually quite comfortable, go figure.
Second, the waist on these things are SO small that trying to fit these jeans over my hips was a real challenge. Imagine trying to put on a pair of regular jeans with the zipper still all the way up. Then, the 2nd time I put them on, the zipper teeth BROKE. Grrrrr. No problem, I thought calmly. I put the zipper back together and sewed the damaged part at the very bottom shut. (The return policy is NO REFUNDS, exchanges only, within 15 days, and you pay for shipping to return the pants to them, and $6 for them to send another pair. What a crock.) Cothing must not be worn and tags in place. I’d rather make my own repairs than spend another $20 in shipping. Fast forward to this morning. I figured I’d wear them anyway with a tunic top to cover the ass, so here I go trying to get them over my hips again. MORE BROKEN TEETH!!! ARRRRRGH!!! And, I had ripped the tags off, so now I absolutely can’t return them. I guess I can rip out the POS zipper and put a decent one in them. What a pain!
Anyway, here’s a shot. Even though they’re tight, there’s no muffin top. At least that part of their ad was true. And, the jeans were pretty slimming, especially in the thighs, but then again that could have been because they were so damn snug.

Jeans for Hourglass Figures
Sunday, May 10, 2009 by Angie.
So I’m a curvy gal. My waist measurement is sometimes up to 2 sizes smaller than my hip measurement, so finding jeans that fit can be a challenge. If it fits in the butt, it gaps in the back when I bend over, or it starts to sag after 15 minutes of wearing them because it’s not grabbing onto my waist. Isn’t it funny that the hourglass figure is supposed to be the “perfect” figure, yet no one designs anything to fit it?!
I was browsing some fashion websites earlier today, and I came across another women who had posted about the same issues, then she mentioned PZI jeans. Hmmm… curiousity took over and I visited their site. I checked out the size charts. HOLY COW!!! Their size 4 is a carbon copy of my measurents. I couldn’t believe it. I mean, some jeans companies have “curvy fits”, but they don’t deviate more than an inch or so from the normal sizing. But PZI is the real deal. They actually boast it on their website: “Some women just have more! Wear your curves.” Check out the size chart:
I ordered a pair from the website, and I’m really excited to try them on. However, when I lose more weight they won’t have a size to fit me anymore. I’m a little bothered by the models on the site though; they aren’t shaped the same as me. I just have wider hips - I don’t have the huge booty like some of their models:
