41 lbs…

I knew this morning was going to be a good weigh-in; sometimes when you wake up you can just feel it.   It was a pleasure updating my weight logs this morning.

I actually had a dream last night about pigging out on desserts, and it was fantastic!   I think I could be on to something…  lucid feasting.  LMAO

I’m a Clean Freak… temporarily

After coming back home from our Christmas vacation, I have been miraculously moved to do some deep cleaning.  After 3 weekends of vigorous scrubbing, I am running out of things to clean.  The floors are clean enough to EAT off; the kitchen is flawless; the bathrooms are pristine.   Yesterday I even washed and IRONED my shower curtains.  The thought even crossed my mind to iron my bedsheets, but sanity stepped in just in time.

With a hankering to clean and nothing left to scrub,  I got bored.  So, I took every last scrap of anything-that-didn’t-belong from my kitchen, took pictures, and posted it on HGTV’s Rate My Space website.  Now after reading the comments, I’m itching to add cabinetry or a soffit above the existing ones…

Joke of the Day…

A man was laying in bed with his new girlfriend.

After having great sex, she spent the next hour just scratching his nuts– something she seemed to love to do.

As he was enjoying it, he turned and asked her, ‘Why do you love doing that?’

‘Because,’ she replied, ‘I really miss mine.’

Christmas Gifts

I now have 6 place settings for the dining room table.  Here’s a pic of the set-up on my in-law’s table and mine.  I love it!!  The bowls are cast from gourds; they have a rough exterior and none them are perfectly round. The reactive glaze on the interior is unique for each bowl.

The salad plates are sculpted by potters in a renowned ceramics studio located just outside of Lisbon.  They are cast from a handmade mold, then painted with a thick glaze. Upon firing, tiny pieces of espresso-colored glass melt into a pattern of organic forms, making each piece unique.

The dinner plates came from Pier 1 (Sanctuary series), as well as the placemats.
