The PZI Jeans - DISAPPOINTED!!
Thursday, May 14, 2009 by Angie.
OK, I am really disappointed in these.
First, their sizing is off. Sure, I can squeeze into these but they are snug! Geez. And yes, I verified my measurements after disbelief took over, and no, I don’t squeeze the tape too tight. I’m a carbon copy of their size 4 measurements. Then again, those pants on the models aren’t the loosest fit, so maybe they’re supposed to fit this way. Maybe they loosen up after a few hours. Yet, even though they’re snug and curve-hugging, they don’t cut into me or anything when I sit down. It’s actually quite comfortable, go figure.
Second, the waist on these things are SO small that trying to fit these jeans over my hips was a real challenge. Imagine trying to put on a pair of regular jeans with the zipper still all the way up. Then, the 2nd time I put them on, the zipper teeth BROKE. Grrrrr. No problem, I thought calmly. I put the zipper back together and sewed the damaged part at the very bottom shut. (The return policy is NO REFUNDS, exchanges only, within 15 days, and you pay for shipping to return the pants to them, and $6 for them to send another pair. What a crock.) Cothing must not be worn and tags in place. I’d rather make my own repairs than spend another $20 in shipping. Fast forward to this morning. I figured I’d wear them anyway with a tunic top to cover the ass, so here I go trying to get them over my hips again. MORE BROKEN TEETH!!! ARRRRRGH!!! And, I had ripped the tags off, so now I absolutely can’t return them. I guess I can rip out the POS zipper and put a decent one in them. What a pain!
Anyway, here’s a shot. Even though they’re tight, there’s no muffin top. At least that part of their ad was true. And, the jeans were pretty slimming, especially in the thighs, but then again that could have been because they were so damn snug.

Jeans for Hourglass Figures
Sunday, May 10, 2009 by Angie.
So I’m a curvy gal. My waist measurement is sometimes up to 2 sizes smaller than my hip measurement, so finding jeans that fit can be a challenge. If it fits in the butt, it gaps in the back when I bend over, or it starts to sag after 15 minutes of wearing them because it’s not grabbing onto my waist. Isn’t it funny that the hourglass figure is supposed to be the “perfect” figure, yet no one designs anything to fit it?!
I was browsing some fashion websites earlier today, and I came across another women who had posted about the same issues, then she mentioned PZI jeans. Hmmm… curiousity took over and I visited their site. I checked out the size charts. HOLY COW!!! Their size 4 is a carbon copy of my measurents. I couldn’t believe it. I mean, some jeans companies have “curvy fits”, but they don’t deviate more than an inch or so from the normal sizing. But PZI is the real deal. They actually boast it on their website: “Some women just have more! Wear your curves.” Check out the size chart:
I ordered a pair from the website, and I’m really excited to try them on. However, when I lose more weight they won’t have a size to fit me anymore. I’m a little bothered by the models on the site though; they aren’t shaped the same as me. I just have wider hips - I don’t have the huge booty like some of their models:

Dirty Jerry
Friday, April 17, 2009 by Angie.
Why is it whenever I come home Jerry is always FILTHY?! I mean, look at his shirt, up there while fixing our internet equipment (internet works again!). Did I marry Pigpen?
And no, we didn’t have visitors. Those are all our vehicles. There’s even 2 more stowed away in the other garage. Too bad my sexy red Stealth is hidden from view in front of the Dakota - you can just see its tail light peeking through.
Oops, he caught me snapping pics!

Biltmore House

We stopped by the Biltmore House on Saturday. Unfortunately it was cloudy, which was not conducive to taking good pictures with the Nikon D70; most of the pictures were extremely dark. Secretly, I think my camera phone did a better job with exposure. Sometimes point and shoot is for the best. B-)

Why is it that the only ones I like are the ones I take of myself?! Do I look like a bitch in this one? Could I scare little children? HA HA HA

Getting my first round of compliments…
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 by Angie.
Both yesterday and today 2 coworkers of mine have complimented me on my weight loss. One guy yesterday said he’d noticed I was thinner, and that I looked great! Today, another guy was wondering why I was dressing better? I admit, I have been buying clothes left and right these past few months as I shrink out of my old fat ones. Honestly though, when I was heavier, nothing looked good on me - I just looked like a big blob. And, I didn’t want to buy expensive clothes because, well, in the back of my mind I would think I wouldn’t wear them long because I would lose the weight and fit back into my old ones.
So here I am, within 10 lbs of the weight I was when I started my job, and a lot of my old clothes are fitting again. I can’t quite get into all of my nice Express slacks yet, but maybe I’ll try them on again this weekend.
So, anyway, this guy notices I have been dressing more nicely. Suprisingly, I was a bit embarrassed to think of how I had been dressing before (jeans, t-shirt). But, I work in a lab where I tend to get inky and ruin clothes, AND being overweight… well it’s not the most conducive environment for looking your best. Luckily I have been working less and less in that damned lab, and feeling better about myself.. so things are getting much better.
And, I’m really enjoying the compliments.
I’m really starting to feel beautiful again… it’s a wonderful thing.

44 lbs…
Monday, February 9, 2009 by Angie.
I’m now solidly in the “normal” BMI range, woo hoo!! And, I have to adjust my goal weight from 133 to 143 because of the lean muscle gains. I weigh 8 lbs more at my current measurements than I did in 2004. At 133 lbs, I would be 13% body fat, which is way too low and kind of scary (equivalent to 2-3% on a guy!!).
So, I have 20 more lbs to go, barring any muscle losses. Realistically, that’s about 4-6 months… cool! I’m considering publishing a fat pic for comparison, but I think I will wait until I reach my goal before I embarrass myself with it.

41 lbs…
Wednesday, January 21, 2009 by Angie.
I knew this morning was going to be a good weigh-in; sometimes when you wake up you can just feel it. It was a pleasure updating my weight logs this morning.
I actually had a dream last night about pigging out on desserts, and it was fantastic! I think I could be on to something… lucid feasting. LMAO
